Establishing the foundations for a multi-site clinical data and tissue cohort.
Leveraging existing databases and cohorts to address key clinical questions in ILC.
Defining research pathways to address the long-term burden of ILC recurrence and metastasis.
Moving advances in breast cancer imaging into new guidelines for ILC diagnosis, surveillance, and care.
Our annual research priorities evolve year over year, under the guidance of the LARC leadership and LARC working groups. As our group expands and gathers resources, we will focus on the above research priorities.
LARC research concepts and projects are managed by two parallel Working Groups (WGs):
The Basic/Translational WG
The Clinical WG.
WGs are led by co-chairs (to be named), who play a central role in shepherding ideas and concepts to address LARC research priorities as LARC-wide projects.
WGs are responsible for the development and execution of of LARC research. Their primary goals are to:
Identify and define gaps in ILC research that could be best addressed by consortium-level efforts.
Develop and workshop project concepts.
Lead the coordination for broader research strategies.
"Spin out" larger projects into independent Project Groups that focus on specific research efforts.
